米Avago Technologiesと米Broadcomは現地時間2015年5月28日、AvagoがBroadcomを買収することで両社が最終合意に達したと発表した。買収総額は370億ドルで、現金と株式で支払われる。手続き完了は2016年第1四半期になる見込み。Avagoは、170億ドルを現金で、200億ドルを株式で支払う。合併後の社名は「Broadcom」とし、AvagoのHock Tan社長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）が新Broadcomの社長兼CEOとなる。
